TEAM OFARC - The History

Father and Son, Jon and Dax Ward have always been motorsport crazy and in late 2000 decided to try and get amongst the action at a club level. They decided upon racing the Jedi single seater car and entered their first race at Brands Hatch on a cold, damp, dreery November weekend.

Adrian, AKA Chewie, also joined the team from the start as race engineer as his love for cars was perfect for our team.

After a fairly eventful first meeting we all went to celebrate and relive the weekend in the the bar and the teams name was decided, as I guess many a teams name is decided.

Upto 2005 the team had two cars with Dax doing the majority of the racing and Jon getting out fairly often but helping out with the engineering/technical side more and more. Michelle has always been mad about motorsport and regularly gets involved at race weekends. In late 2006 Marc Fortune joined the team as a driver and for 2008 both cars have the Suzuki GSXR 1000 K5 engines.

Dax's car is supported by St. Cross Electronics Ltd, Marc's car is supported by Infinite Mortgages and both cars are prepared by themselves together with Adrian.
