Snetterton
Oct 08 - The team scored 2 x 1-2's at the final Mono
round of the season. Marc got fastest lap on Saturday whilst finishing
second and Dax got fastest lap on Sunday. Dax stalled on the grid
and dropped to 17th overall, but managed to come through the field
to get a class win with Marc finishing in second spot for the
second day running.
Motors
TV - The Brands Hatch races from August will be shown
on Motors TV (ch 413) on Friday 26/09/2008.
Spa,
Belgium - As it was wet for both practice sessions Marc
stood out in the team taking a 12th place grid spot and Dax only
managing a 16th out of 25. Marcs engine let go at the end of second
practice which meant he had to sit out of the race for the second
consecutive year. the rcae was dry and Dax was committed to making
up for his poor show in qualifying. He made up 7 places on the
first two laps and eventually got 6th overall and second in his
class.
Rockingham
- Marc and Dax lock out the front row for races 1 and 2 at the
Mono round in Northants. Marc's car was back from his massive
accident at Oulton and he promptly got his first ever pole position.
Race 1 was a huge dissapointment for the team as Marc finished
13th and Dax 10th, but they made up for it in race 2 when Marc
lead from lights to flag and Dax not far behind and taking fastest
lap and setting a new Mono record.
Silverstone
Mono - Dax qualified in 4th but lost over half a second
on his best lap trying to get past traffic, that time would have
put him on pole. Marc was affected with no clear laps but still
managed to put it on the 5th row with a puncture. In the race
Dax lost out to Tilson as Cave held him up through the exit of
Copse and lost 4 seconds on one lap due to so much slow moving
traffic and had to settle for 6th place. Marc was pushing hard
for 7th place when he overcooked it going into Brooklands and
ended up in the gravel.
Silverstone
- With no Chewie, Dax ansd Marc were hoping for a trouble free
weekend.They both had to qualify with problems which put them
on the back of the grid. Dax made up 8 places whilst Marcs throttle
cable failed in race 1. In race 2 Marc stormed to 10 and Dax made
13th still suffering from instrumentation failure.
Snetterton
- Marc finishes first race in 5th with Dax very close behind.
In the second race Marc was having a few engine problems and Dax
had to DNF due to a faulty warning setting on dash. Both cars
were much quicker than last year and Silverstone round should
be good.
Isolating
- Team OFARC has a long standing relationship with Cartek.
They manufacture a new type of battery isolator which replaces
the red key. This device is far more relaible and also much safer
in the event of an accident. Come and have a look at the device
at any race meeting.
